The Nordic Digital Business Summit 2014 took place in Helsinki at the beginning of September and had over 600 delegates focused on three central themes of Data Centers & Infrastructure, Measurement Technology, and Digital Services and Serious Gaming. The significance of the summit from a serious games perspective is that it is an important first step towards building the support infrastructure needed to to enable the collection and processing of large amounts of in-game data and analytics. The multidisciplinary format was enthusiastically received and now attention is turning to planning for next year’s summit, so now is the time to start thinking about getting involved.
