Scope: Games and gameware have gone beyond its primary function of entertainment. Today the games industry is worth in excess of US$10.7b with an ever increasing upwards trajectory compared with manufacturing. The adoption of games in engineering creates the opportunity for advanced blended spaces and the amplification of technology, particularly through virtual environments and ecosystems (VES) but have yet to capitalize from. A combination of VR and serious gaming (SG) drives insight and understanding in problem-solving scenarios with enhanced user experiences (i.e. playfulness, flexibility, collaboration, motivation, creativity).
This VES Track aims to advance knowledge on methods and strategies used in gaming to design, develop, implement, deploy/apply, evaluate and reuse SGVES.
Papers: We welcome papers in any category of Research, Technology, Application, Framework and Perspective. Extended versions of selected papers will be invited for submission into a highimpact journal.
